Christie grew up in central New Jersey, and as a child split her time between trips into New York City and walking the boardwalk “down the Jersey shore.” She now holds a BS in theatre and sign language from Towson University, a teaching credential from CSUB, spent a summer studying with the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia, and holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from NIU. She is currently a professor of theatre at Midwestern State University and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.

Christie enjoys all aspect of performing, but specializes in character acting, physical comedy, and improvisation. She is a graduate of the conservatory at Second City Chicago, and has worked as a company member at the repertory theatre The Gaslight Melodrama and Music Hall. Christie has performed in musicals, classic and dramatic works in theatres across the country including many years as a cast member of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding in Las Vegas and the Guinness Book of World Record’s longest running play, Shear Madness.
